Sheet 01 · Respectfully, They're Not Wrong. They're Just Not Yours.

REDICHECK HAS BEEN AT THIS SINCE 1981.
THE QUESTION IS: WHO'S IT WORKING FOR?

RediCheck is a respected name, hired by the design team to check the design team's own coordination. Preempt Global is hired by you, reports to no one else, and turns a set around in 48 hours instead of 2–3 weeks.

The Core Difference

SAME COORDINATION REVIEW.
DIFFERENT BOSS.

RediCheck's own site lists who they serve: "leading design, construction, and development firms." Their flagship testimonial comes from a project manager on the construction side. That's not a knock — it's just who's paying the invoice, and whoever pays the invoice gets the benefit of the doubt in a proposal.

Preempt Global works one way: paid by the owner, reporting to the owner, running alongside your architect's QC and your GC's coordination review — not replacing it, and not answerable to it. When the review is scoped to check the design team's own work, there's a limit to how hard it's going to look. When it's scoped to protect you, there isn't.

REDICHECKRetained by: Design Team

By their own site: serves "leading design, construction, and development firms."

Flagship testimonial is from a project manager on the construction side.

Real, necessary work — scoped to check the design team's own coordination.

PREEMPT GLOBALRetained by: The Owner

Paid by the owner. Reports to no one else.

Runs alongside your architect's QC and GC's coordination review — not instead of it.

Scoped to protect you — not to check anyone's own work.

Doesn't our architect's or GC's review already cover this?

No — and that's the whole point. The architect's QC checks the set against design intent. The contractor's coordination review is scoped to pricing the work accurately. Both are real and necessary. Neither is scoped to work for the owner alone.

The Guarantee

ONE OF US GUARANTEES A FEELING. THE OTHER GUARANTEES A NUMBER.

RediCheck

"UNCONDITIONAL" GUARANTEE

"If you're not satisfied with the results, you don't have to pay." A satisfaction guarantee protects against a bad experience. It doesn't commit to finding anything specific — it just means nobody has to have an awkward conversation about a refund.

Preempt Global

$50K-EXPOSURE-OR-FREE

If the review doesn't surface at least $50,000 in documented cost exposure, it's free. No partial credit, no fine print, no "satisfied" to argue about. On a set of this size and complexity, there's always something to find — which is exactly why we're willing to put a number on it in writing.

A satisfaction guarantee says: we tried. Ours says: we found it, and here's what it would've cost you.

Speed

YOUR SET IS ALREADY LATE. THEIRS TAKES 2–3 WEEKS.

RediCheck's own FAQ puts their turnaround at 2–3 weeks from the time they receive your documents. That's three weeks where the set sits, the schedule holds its breath, and the next submittal date gets closer. Preempt Global turns the same kind of review around in 48 hours — because the whole point of catching something on paper is catching it before it becomes a decision made in the field.

The Deliverable

THEY HAND YOU REDLINES. WE HAND YOU A PRICE TAG.

RediCheck's deliverable, by their own description: PDFs marked up in Bluebeam, discrepancies highlighted in red, plus an online debrief — a real, useful thing that leaves the hardest part of the job to you. Every Preempt finding comes ranked, with a dollar exposure and schedule impact attached automatically.

What you actually get back — Preempt Global

Priority Finding Est. Field Cost Schedule
HIGH Structural beam clash — HVAC duct routing, Lvl 4 $42,000 18 days
MED Electrical panel schedule vs. one-line mismatch $6,200 3 days
LOW Door hardware finish mismatch — Suite 220 $400 0 days

Ranked. Priced. Scheduled. Nothing left for you to triage.

Typical redlined PDF markup (illustrative)

"See markup — check clearance."

"Coordinate w/ MEP."

"Verify spec section 09 21 16."

"Confirm w/ architect of record."

Real, useful markup. No rank, no dollar figure, no schedule impact attached — that part's still yours to work out.

Track Record, Addressed Honestly

THEY'VE DONE MORE VOLUME.
WE DO MORE PER SET.

RediCheck has reviewed over $65 billion in construction cost since 1981, by their own site — that's real, and nobody should pretend otherwise. But volume and attention aren't the same thing. Preempt caps capacity at four sets a month on purpose, so every set gets a founder who's personally drawn these documents, not a rotation through a larger team. RediCheck built a name over four decades by reviewing a lot of sets. We're building ours by making sure yours doesn't get lost in the queue.

FOUNDER'S NAME

One More Objection

"DOESN'T CLASH DETECTION ALREADY CATCH THIS?"

Clash detection catches geometry — two elements overlapping inside a coordinated model. It doesn't catch the model contradicting the written spec, a general note that prohibits what another sheet requires, or details that never physically overlap in the model but still stop work in the field. Neither RediCheck's process nor a BIM coordination pass is built to read the issued set the way this review does — which is exactly where most real-world conflicts live.

Pricing Transparency

SEE THE NUMBER BEFORE YOU BOOK THE CALL.

RediCheck doesn't publish pricing — every engagement starts with a proposal request. Preempt Global's pricing is public: a $7,000/mo retainer for unlimited set reviews, or a $9,000 one-time review, with every deliverable included by default. You'll know what this costs before you ever get on a call.
