That's not a knock — it's just who's paying the invoice, and whoever pays the invoice gets the benefit of the doubt in a proposal.

No — and that's the whole point. The architect's QC checks the set against design intent. The contractor's coordination review is scoped to pricing the work accurately. Both are real and necessary. Neither is scoped to work for the owner alone.

One More Objection
Clash detection catches geometry — two elements overlapping inside a coordinated model. It doesn't catch the model contradicting the written spec, a general note that prohibits what another sheet requires, or details that never physically overlap in the model but still stop work in the field. Neither RediCheck's process nor a BIM coordination pass is built to read the issued set the way this review does — which is exactly where most real-world conflicts live.
